Privacy policy

We collect the minimum data needed to complete the recruitment procedures, and we explain here exactly what we collect, why, for how long, and what your rights are.

Last updated: 8 August 2026

Who we are

This notice explains how Almira United Recruitment Office — a recruitment office licensed by the Ministry of Labour in the Sultanate of Oman, with a commercial registration number published in the footer of this site — handles your personal data. The office is the controller of that data within the meaning of the Personal Data Protection Law issued by Royal Decree 6/2022, meaning it is the party that decides why data is collected and how it is processed.

This notice covers this website, conversations that reach us by WhatsApp or telephone, and visits to the office itself.

What we collect

We collect the minimum needed to complete a recruitment file. We do not ask for data simply to hold it.

When you submit a form on this site:

  • Name and phone number
  • Email address and city, if you choose to enter them
  • Request type: a worker on contract, hourly help, an appointment, or a general enquiry
  • Preferred nationality, or the reference code of a worker whose profile you viewed
  • Your preferred appointment time, and the text of your message if you wrote one
  • The date and time your consent to this notice was recorded

When a contract is actually signed we ask — at the office, not through this website — for a copy of your national ID or passport, address details, and whatever the authorities require to issue the visa and the contract.

Automatically as you browse: we record an anonymous counter of clicks on the WhatsApp and call buttons, storing only the page name and the date. That counter contains no phone number and nothing that identifies you.

Why we collect it

  1. 1 To answer your request, arrange an appointment and quote the right price.
  2. 2 To perform the contract between you and the office and complete its formalities.
  3. 3 To meet our legal obligations towards the Ministry of Labour and the competent authorities in Oman.
  4. 4 To improve our service through aggregate figures that do not identify you.

The legal bases for processing are your explicit consent when you submit a form, performance of a contract, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that did not proceed: kept for at most 24 months from the last contact, then permanently deleted.
  • Files of contracted clients: kept for the duration of the contract and for the further period required by Omani accounting and labour rules.
  • Anonymous counters: kept indefinitely, as they identify no one.

Transfers outside Oman

Completing a recruitment requires sharing limited data — the employer's name, city and job requirements — with accredited recruitment agencies in the worker's home country (such as Kenya, the Philippines, Sri Lanka or Nepal), and with embassies and the authorities that issue the visa.

Only what is necessary to complete the procedure is sent, under a written agreement with the corresponding agency requiring it to protect the data and to use it for no purpose other than the one it was sent for, as the Personal Data Protection Law requires for transfers outside the Sultanate.

Who sees your data

Access is limited to the office staff handling your request, and to the service providers we use to run the website and email. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for marketing purposes.

Domestic workers' data

Profiles published on this site show only a reference code, nationality, age band, years of experience, skills, languages and availability. The full name, passport number and personal documents are never published. A worker's photograph is published only after her documented consent to publication has been recorded.

Data security

Data is held on servers protected by passwords and restricted permissions, and sensitive fields — such as full name and passport number — are encrypted inside the database. Staff access to those fields is written to an internal log.

Your rights

The law gives you the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you and obtain a copy of it
  • Correction where your data is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Erasure where the purpose for holding it has ended or you have withdrawn consent
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without giving a reason
  • Object to a particular processing activity, or ask that it be restricted
  • Complain to the competent authority in Oman if you are not satisfied with our response

We respond within a reasonable period not exceeding 45 days. We may ask you to prove your identity first, to protect your data from an illegitimate request.

Cookies

We use technical cookies only: one to remember your preferred language, and one to protect forms against automated submission. We use no advertising trackers and share no browsing data with ad networks.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our services or the applicable rules change. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page, and material changes are announced on the home page.
